HMY FC NEW DIRECTIVE

I can still vividly remember HMY FC first game in Jerudong Park football field in 2005. I could not remember who it was we were playing against but boy, we crushed them to pieces and convincingly too. It was to be HMY FC stepping stone towards a colourful journey of football adventures filled with happiness, brotherly attached emotions, maturity, respect, and discipline. We learnt that no matter who came in, the backbones of this extraordinary family members made up of siblings, cousins, uncles, close friends would remain intact. It will and still is my personal mission to safeguard this intactness. People come and go but not the backbones. The organisation becomes a priority, has to be lead by strong characters, bold to make decisions to make sure that these sacred bonds of family remain unbreakable.

Rest assured not all are blessed with talent, leadership, silky skills, brute power, raw pace, tactical ability, reading of the game, astute composure but when all players are combined, each with these variables, the results are devastating. In games, we strive to be consistent, adaptable and balanced thus we play according to our strength, complementing each other, not leaving it to a game of cards. Such classic example, silky skills of Prap to breach the flanks, raw pace and quick feet of Azri to guard the defence and at times to exhaust the foe defenses, superior ball control and passing range of Laboi to general the midfield, exquisite finishing and shooting strength of Zaim to worry the goalkeeper, optimistic run and excellent reading of the game by Yamin to anticipate danger and attack, brute power and aggression of Tomo to intimidate the opposing players and so on and so on.

As time goes by, relevancy to remain strong becomes a priority. Realism crept into the seniors’ minds that HMY FC lack of strength in depth has cost itself of victories, even routine victories. Opposing teams become more aware of the need to regain dignity after previous humiliation. What was worrying at that time was the yawning gap of size, maturity, knowledge of HMY FC juniors. Therefore the influx of new, exceptionally better players. Nonetheless, ability to play is not the only criteria to become HMY FC member. Attitude, willingness to be versatile, positive approach and adhering to instructions need to be embedded in these new players. But as 2008 comes to an end, HMY FC backbones have regained their hunger and passion which I regretfully (apologize for it) failed to realize. Now, its time, 2009 is within a touching distant and promise has to be made. Making sure 2009 to be HMY FC regulars will be a priority, all will be utilized. There is now a good blend of juniors which I feel is ready to fill in HMY FC limelight. New senior players drafted are Master G (striker), Achoi (wing back), Muksid (goalkeeper) and Haziq, bf Emah (striker). With these promotions of players, there will be no more import players for HMY FC for 2009 with only the exception of goalkeeper (if Muksid is not available due to exams).

In addition to this announcement, 2009 HMY FC squad is stated below and are required to sms me their new squad numbers for 2009 new jerseys.
